Epitalon, also known as epithalon and epithalone, is a synthetic tetra-peptide version of epithalamin (epithalon tetra), which is naturally produced by the pineal gland in the brain. The epitalon tetra peptide is made up of four amino acid building blocks (alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and glycine). Studies demonstrate that the peptide has the potential to slow down disease processes and to extend human lifespan.
